Vocational sports courses available at London Soccer Dome - 6 Jan 2012

SR Education is currently running a range of full and part-time vocational sports related training programmes at the prestigious London Soccer Dome, which was formerly the David Beckham Academy.

The scheme runs in partnership with Conference South football club Welling United but from the summer of 2012, SR Education will be offering a broader range of sports-based programmes.

Said SR Education managing director Dave Mantle: “The London Soccer Dome is one of the best indoor facilities in Europe and we are privileged to be able to offer young people in that area the opportunity to study for a wide range of sports qualifications at such an excellent venue.”

The centre has two full size indoor 3G pitches, coupled with and a range of classroom facilities.

The 2012 sports based-programmes from September 2012 will include:

• Level 1 foundation learning, including FA Level 1 coaching certificate, BTEC Level 1 certificate in Sport

• BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Sport

• BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Sport

• BTEC Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Sport

• NVQ 2 Sports Activity Leadership

• Active IQ Level 2 Diploma in Sport

• NVQ 3 Sports Development

• FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate

• FA Level 2 Coaching certificate

• Functional Skills in Maths and English
