Sports Development

The Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship is designed to give coaches and Sports Leaders a higher level knowledge and understanding of their job and to broaden their skill set.

Fundamental to the course is offering candidates practical experience of the training programme through their current employers, giving those taking part further knowledge and competency to help secure employment and career progression.

A range of qualifications must be obtained to complete the apprenticeship, covering coaching, leadership, acting as sports officials and first aid, which are all endorsed by industry experts and nationally recognised. These qualifications give a solid and well-rounded understanding of the sporting industry.

The course last between nine and 12 months and includes placements on school programmes, after-school clubs and training camps, all organised by SR Education.
