Leadership & Management
SR Education delivers accredited management training to supervisors and managers from a range of industries. Training is delivered on either a one-to-one basis or in a workshop environment and covers areas such as team development, planning and briefing, decision-making, coaching and communications skills.
In addition to attending workshops, learners are also assessed and coached in the workplace. This means that those at a supervisory level are expected to:
• Have regular appraisals and take responsibility for their own personal development
• At least be setting short term mini-objectives for operation that day e.g. agreeing handover actions with the next shift, handling unplanned things that happen, etc
• Monitor and deal with under-performance and conflicts that may arise within their team
• Participate actively in meetings
Supervisors who complete the workshop and assessment programme will achieve the nationally recognised Adult Apprenticeship in Team Leading.
Those at a departmental management level will be expected to:
• Set longer term team objectives, plan work and brief their team e.g. for improving customer satisfaction or improving departmental financial performance
• Show evidence that they can improve the performance of their team e.g. they deliver appraisals and support team members
• Coach others within the business
• Participate actively in meetings
Managers who complete the workshop and assessment programme will achieve the nationally recognised Adult Advanced Apprenticeship in Management.
